Sparkling Lemonade

Combine vodka and simple syrup in a shaker. Cut a lemon in half and squeeze half of it into the shaker, drop it in. Add lemonade and shake well. Strain into a glass over ice and top with ginger beer. Float melon liqueur, blue curacao or cranberry juice and serve.
