Cocktails To Drink Like a Pirate

The Recipe

• 1 ounce coconut rum

• 1 ounce dark rum

• 1 ounce melon liquor

• 1 ounce pineapple juice

Combine all ingredients in a glass with crushed ice. Stir gently to combine.

• 1 ounce spiced rum

• 2 ounces pineapple juice

• 2 ounces orange juice

• 1/2 ounce overproof rum

• Pineapple wedge

• Cherry

Add spiced rum, pineapple juice and orange juice in a shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a chilled glass over ice. Float overproof rum on top. Garnish with a pineapple wedge and cherry. 

The Recipe

• 2 ounces gin

• 1/2 ounce aperitivo

• 1 ounce orange juice

• 1 teaspoon grenadine

• 4 ounces ginger ale

• Orange slice

Combine gin, aperitivo, orange juice and grenadine in a shaker with ice. Shake well and strain over fresh ice. Top with ginger ale and garnish with an orange slice.

• ½ ounce light rum  

• ½ ounce banana liqueur  

• ½ ounce blackberry brandy  

• 1 ounce pineapple juice  

• 1 ounce orange juice  

• Splash of grenadine  

• ½ ounce dark rum  

• Orange slice 

Combine light rum, banana liqueur, blackberry brandy, pineapple juice, orange juice and grenadine in a glass with ice. Stir until combined. Float dark rum on top. Garnish with an orange wedge.

• 1 ounce white rum  

• 1 ounce gold rum  

• ½ ounce passion fruit syrup  

• ½ ounce lime juice  

• Orange slice

Combine all ingredients in a shaker filled with ice. Shake well and strain into a chilled glass. Garnish with a skewer of an orange slice and cherry.

• ¾ ounce dark rum 

• 3 ounces pineapple juice 

• 1 ounce orange juice 

• 2 scoops vanilla ice cream 

• Pineapple wedge 

• Maraschino cherry 

Combine coconut rum, dark rum, pineapple juice, orange juice and vanilla ice cream into a blender. Blend for one minute or until smooth. Garnish with a pineapple wedge and cherry. Serve immediately.

• 4 ounces orange juice

• 1/2 ounce grenadine

• Maraschino cherry

Combine coconut rum, amaretto liqueur and orange juice in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well and strain in a glass over fresh ice. Top with grenadine. Garnish with a pineapple wedge and cherry.

• 1 ounce triple sec 

• 2 ½ ounces cranberry juice 

• Lemon twist 

Combine tequila, triple sec and cranberry juice in a shaker with ice. Shake well and strain into a martini glass. Garnish with a lemon twist.

• 4 ounces cranberry juice 

• 1 ounce grapefruit juice 

• Lime wedge 

Combine vodka, cranberry juice and grapefruit juice in a glass over ice. Stir to combine and garnish with a lime wedge.

• 1 1/2 ounces vodka

• 3 ounces grapefruit juice

Rim a glass with salt. Add vodka and grapefruit juice in a shaker with ice. Shake well and strain over fresh ice in salt-rimmed glass.

• 8 ounces white rum 

• 8 ounces coconut rum 

• 24 ounces pineapple juice 

• 4 ounces lime juice 

• 8 ounces blue curacao 

Combine ingredients in a large bowl or pitcher. Stir. Serve in glasses filled with ice.

• 1 ½ ounces Papa’s Pilar Blonde Rum 

• ¼ ounce fresh lime juice 

• ½ ounce fresh grapefruit juice 

• 1 teaspoon maraschino liqueur 

• 1 teaspoon sugar (optional)

Pour all ingredients into a shaker with ice. Shake well and strain into a chilled glass. Garnish with grapefruit.

• 3/4 cup dark rum

• 1 1/2 ounce aperitivo

• 2 cups pineapple juice

• 2 cups orange juice

• Orange wedges

• Maraschino cherries

Combine light rum, dark rum, aperitivo, pineapple juice and orange juice in a pitcher. Cover and chill for 6 to 12 hours. Divide among glasses filled with ice. Garnish with orange wedges and Maraschino cherries.
