Taste the Sunshine: Shop Florida’s Best Spirits, RTDs and Snacks at ABC
Welcome to Florida sign with palm trees in background. The Sunshine State.

Here at ABC, we’re proud to offer high-quality, affordable products from all over the world in our stores...but, we have to admit, our products made right here in the Sunshine State hold a special place in our hearts.

Florida means different things to different folks: a beloved vacation destination, a bucket list item or a stop-over on the way to somewhere else, but our favorite people call it home. Florida boasts some of the world’s most talented brewers, distillers and chefs, including the folks behind some of the delicious bottles, cans and other goodies we have available on our shelves.

Keep scrolling for a guide to some of our favorite Florida-made products available at your neighborhood ABC Fine Wine & Spirits.

Kozuba & Sons

Kozuba & Sons craft Polish spirits with American craftsmanship. Their story began in 2005, when Zbigniew “Papa” Kozuba, a biochemist and businessman, retired and moved to the Polish countryside to tinker with cordials—continuing a tradition of infusing spirits that many Polish families still honor today. It quickly became clear that he had a true talent for spirit making, and his sons, Matthias and Jacob, joined in on their dad’s hobby to turn it into a bona fide business.

However, Poland’s highly monopolized spirits industry didn’t leave room for a small, family-run craft operation. They realized they needed to move to a country with a growing appetite for small-batch, locally made spirits. In 2014, they chose Florida as their new home and relocated from the Polish village of Jablonka to St. Petersburg. Since then, the family—and the distillery—has continued to grow.

Today, they produce the famous potato vodka of their homeland, along with a variety of cordials and liqueurs. Check out the Kozuba & Sons products available at ABC below.

3 Daughters Brewing

Also located in St. Pete, 3 Daughters Brewing is a beer and cider brewery that consistently puts out mind-blowing flavors—like their Key Lime Cider, Orange Creamsicle Vodka Soda and Florida Orange IPA, to name a few.

It all started with two questions for co-owners Leigh and Mike Harting: First, does craft beer really make a better beer-battered fish? And second, how are we going to put our three daughters through college?

While operating a successful restaurant in St. Petersburg, Mike and his head chef, Ty Weaver, were working on a recipe for craft beer-battered fish and decided to make it using their own hand-crafted brews. Mike, Leigh and Ty thought it turned out pretty good—so they put it on tap. To their surprise, it didn’t just hold its own—it outsold every other beer they had.

Fast forward to today, 3 Daughters Brewing has grown into one of the largest independent breweries in Florida. Their brews can be found across the state in restaurants, bars, airports, theme parks and more.

Keep an eye on ABC’s coolers—you never know what wacky (but delicious) flavor Ty will come up with next!

UNA Vodka

UNA Vodka is a revolutionary flower-infused vodka created around the principle that only vodka can respect the essence of flowers—and only flowers can respect the purity of vodka. Made with begonia, Florida orange blossoms and Madagascar vanilla flowers, this floral-infused vodka is a delicately sweet and richly complex spirit that’s perfect in springtime cocktails and proudly displayed on your bar cart. (I mean, have you seen that bottle?)

The spirit’s stunning aesthetics make perfect sense once you know a bit more about Una’s founder, Leticia Fernández de Mesa. Originally from Spain, Leticia began her career at Sotheby’s in New York before moving to Colombia, where she founded an auction house in Bogotá.

“The beauty of nature in Colombia amazed me,” she told Authority Magazine in 2023. “Everywhere we went, there were flowers that I had never seen before, and it was like a magnetic attraction. Their magic pulled my soul, and this is how UNA was created by trying to look for a way of translating that unique attraction into an experience that I could share with the world.”

St. Augustine Distillery Spirits

St. Augustine Distillery stands proudly as a locally owned and operated artisanal spirits distillery in historic St. Augustine. Nestled within the lovingly restored FPL Ice Plant—a building dating back to 1917—the distillery offers an immersive experience with tours and tastings. But you don’t have to drive all the way to the nation’s oldest city to get a taste of their hand-crafted spirits; St. Augustine Distillery products are available at your local ABC store.

If St. Augustine Distillery has anything, it’s range: they produce vodka, gin, rum and three different bourbons—all made in-house from raw Florida ingredients. They’re best known for their vodka and bourbon, but anything they make is worth a taste. We promise you won’t be disappointed.

Papa’s Pilar Rum

If a robust collection of Ernest Hemingway novels lines your bookshelves, Papa’s Pilar Rum is a must-try. The spirit pays homage to “Papa,” Hemingway’s nickname among friends and family, and his beloved boat, Pilar—the vessel that allowed America’s literary giant to reach beyond the shoreline and feast on life.

Hemingway took up residence in Key West as a young man in 1928 and lived there for about ten years. Papa’s Pilar Rum, distilled in Hemingway’s old stomping grounds, was created to capture its namesake’s spirit of adventure and joie de vivre.

Papa’s Pilar produces several styles of rum, but their classic blonde and dark variations are perfect bases for your favorite rum cocktails. Try it in a Papa Doble or Coconut Mojito, or sip it neat – we're pretty sure that’s what Papa would do anyway.

Munyon's Paw-Paw Florida Liqueur

Munyon’s Paw-Paw Florida Liqueur is a premium American grain aperitif crafted from papaya, Florida citrus, passionfruit and all-natural botanicals. It pays homage to Dr. James Munyon and his original Munyon’s Paw-Paw formulation—a homeopathic remedy dating back to 1903 that gained popularity in Florida with snowbirds wintering at the Hotel Hygeia in Palm Beach.

Two South Florida locals revived the recipe and the Munyon name in 2022 by releasing Munyon’s Paw-Paw as an American aperitif, with hopes of making it a household name once again. This modern take on a vintage brand offers a distinctly Floridian twist on a classic low-proof aperitif. It’s not made to cure the same ailments Munyon once promised, but rather to revive an incredible piece of Florida's history for a new generation to enjoy.

A premium spirit crafted from all-natural botanicals, this refreshing aperitif can be enjoyed before a meal, with tonic or as a flavorful addition to your favorite cocktail. We recommend trying it in a spritz for a fabulous Floridian sipper.

Siesta Key Rum

Located inside a rather unremarkable industrial park on the north side of Sarasota is a beautiful tasting room and rum-distilling paradise called Siesta Key Distillery. Their approach to distilling is simple—but surprisingly rare in the spirits world: infuse real food ingredients to flavor their small-batch rums.

Typically, flavored spirits are made with manmade liquid flavorings called “natural flavors,” but Siesta Key uses the real stuff: toasted coconut flakes, spices, honey, Colombian coffee beans and more.

Our recommendation: if you’d normally turn your nose up at a flavored rum, expecting an artificially sweet aftertaste, pick up a bottle of Siesta Key Toasted Coconut Rum on your next trip to ABC. We think you’ll change your tune after the first sip.
