Amaretto Sour

1 ½ ounces amaretto liqueur

¾ ounce bourbon

1 ounce fresh lemon juice

1 teaspoon simple syrup

½ ounce egg white (optional*)

Cherry

Add amaretto liqueur, bourbon, lemon juice, simple syrup and egg white to a shaker and shake without ice for 15 seconds. Add ice to shaker and shake again until chilled. Strain into a glass over ice. Garnish with a lemon twist and cherry.

*Adding an egg white will create a foam layer on the cocktail. Can substitute egg white with aquafaba (the liquid in a can of chickpeas) to create the foam or leave out entirely for no foam layer.
